Drink-driver banned from roads for three years

A motorist who was convicted of drink-driving in Titchfield Common has been banned from the roads for three years.

Joey Hilden pleaded guilty to having 111 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood when he drove a Mercedes C270 in Primate Road on July 8. The legal limit is 80 milligrammes.

The 36-year-old of Scallas Lane in West Wellow, Romsey, was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 36 months and also fined £200.

Fareham magistrates ordered Hilden to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
